With volunteers from five continents and nineteen countries, Primal Quest 2008 will truly have an international flavour. In less than one month’s time more than 200 people have applied to help support the World’s Most Challenging Human Endurance Competition. Meanwhile, applications continue to pour into race headquarters.
The nineteen countries represented so far include Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, Hong Kong, Israel, Lithuania, Mexico, The Netherlands, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden as well as from all across the United States.
What are you doing next June? Volunteering is a great way to get a first hand, up close look at real expedition racing. Sign up today!

Can anyone provide us a list of the various volunteer jobs at PQ? Thnaks!
August 3rd, 2007 at 7:21 pm
Hi all, as the race is supported this year, the volunteer jobs will be slightly different than in prior years. There will be less logistical jobs, and more team support from the volunteers. There will still be medical, CP/TA, media, photographers, and HQ volunteers. We will have volunteers working specifically in biking, water, ropes, and mountaineering again. A FEW volunteers will be asked to take on more responsibility in these areas and be like a “volunteer captain”. Of course, there is still a good deal of unknown for specific jobs right now as the course location-or the course itself-has yet to be determined, and when details are nailed down the jobs will be clearer. Hope this clears up some questions, please feel free to email me!

Looking forward to roadtrip to the event location and to startup the King battle again with King Richie…:-)
Last May I spent more than 50 hours with King Richie in a tiny, not waterproof, leaking tent in de rainiest Scottisch Highlands ever…so please… put him as far as possible from my CP..:-) He brings bad luck…

So many great memories. Can’t wait to see the PQ crew again in ‘08! I prefer to stay neutral in the king battle.

Anyone going to be in the PA Poconos over the weekend of Oct. 10 - 14 for the BG Challenge adventure race? I’d love to volunteer, but I’ll be working. That’s the price you have to pay for taking all your vacation time in the summer for PQ!!
