I am very happy to see Tim is returning to Primal Quest.

It was the last year of the Balance Bar 24-Hour adventure in Beaver Creek Colorado where I really got my first chance to talk with Tim. During the brutal white water swimming section on a warm summer afternoon, our team was ordered out of the water due to lightning strikes within 2 kilometers of our position. A sudden storm swept over the tall canyon walls above and pummeled us with marble-sized hail. We stood with the unflinching Tim on the bank and talked in between the thunder and lightning while he continued to collect some of the best photographs of the race, risking damage to some very expensive equipment.

I think his unique understanding of adventure sports and willingness to suffer through the same conditions as the racers to get the best shots makes him a real asset. Those photographs are one the few windows that allows the rest of the world to experience adventure racing.
