DSC_0016The pre-race hype is picking up steam with a number of media outlets covering Primal Quest Badlands presented by SPOT. Here’s a sample of some of the coverage the event has received in the past few days:

- The Black Hills News Bureau has posted a story that serves as a great primer for Primal Quest and what South Dakota residents can expect when the race gets underway tomorrow.

- Black Hills Fox station KEVN reporter Megan Palera is covering Primal Quest and has put together a report about the final prep work that the teams, volunteers, and staff are going through as they prepare for the 5:30 AM start of the race tomorrow.

- Sioux Falls ABC station KSFY has posted an Associated Press story with some information for spectators looking to follow Primal Quest both online and in person. Find out more by clicking here. And come back to the PQ website later tonight for more information on where spectators can take in the race live.

- The Springfield News Sun from Springfield, Missiouri has a pair of articles about local racer Mickey McNeil who is competing in Primal Quest as part of Team MAAR. Find out why Mickey calls PQ bizzare fun as well as a crazy vacation.

- Adventure World Magazine posted Travis Macy’s Tips For Better Performance a few days back as well. Travis is a veteran of the sport of adventure racing, and is competing on Team Salomon/Crested Butte.

- KnoxNews.com has an excellent story about racer Sean O’Donnell who is part of Team Kickapoo Scouts. For his day job, Sean works as a security guard in the Y-12 nuclear weapons plant. Maybe we should check his mandatory gear twice!

- Finally, the Denver Post gave Primal Quest a shout out in their Outdoor Extremes section as well, letting their readers know that the race begins tomorrow and how they can follow the action online.
