Adventure racing fans in South Dakota for Primal Quest Badlands presented by SPOT can get in on the fun by catching the teams in action like never before. The PQ course designers have identified five great spots for spectators to view the race and watch these amazing athletes compete against one another, while also taking in the spectacular beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

The first of the five spots will be the race start on Ricard Road at 5:30 AM, Friday, August 14. Find out more about the start of the race here. Despite the early hour, fans are encouraged to come out and cheer on the teams as they embark on their 10-day, 600 mile journey.

The other four spectator locations are listed below. Each of them will provide excellent opportunities to see the teams competing, but it is a bit difficult to know when they’ll be moving through those particular areas. Fans are encouraged to watch the SPOT leaderboard and tracking system when it goes live tomorrow, as it will provide accurate information about where each team is, and how soon they’ll be moving through the various checkpoints on the course. If you want to catch your favorite team, or just see what adventure racing is all about, then head out to anyone of these great locations as the teams begin to approach.
