Primal Quest Badlands presented by SPOT is off and running, with 32 strong teams filled with fantastic athletes, going head-to-head at this very moment. This year’s race has quite an international contigent amongst the racers, volunteers, and media, many of whom had to travel great distances to reach South Dakota.
Besides the U.S. and Canada, other coutnries represented in this year’s race include Norway, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, and more. Not only are the athletes dedicated to competing in Primal Quest, the volunteers have also flocked in from all over the globe, and their tireless efforts are appreciated by the entire PQ staff.
Additionally, we would like to thank all of the media, both local, national, and international, who have been covering the event, some of which have joined us here in Rapid City and are now helping to tell the story of Primal Quest to a global audience. Your efforts are also greatly apprecited.
In the days leading up to the start of the race, many teams stayed at the Holiday Inn at the Rushmore Plaza in Rapid City. And while there, they proudly displayed their colors by hanging their flags throughout the atrium. It made for a colorful and fun sight for everyone passing through.
