I’ve been a volunteer for Primal Quest since the first event held in Telluride, Co. in 2002. I have volunteered for all five Primal Quest races. Volunteer experience has been primarily CP and TA Captain with a “little” logistics (PQ Utah 2006) thrown in.

I love the outdoors and stay active by running trails, Mt. Biking and kayaking rivers and lakes near my home. I’ve attempted numerous local weekend adventure races and actually completed a few! I am an avid hiker, biker and paddler.

I’m SCUBA certified (Rescue Diver PADI) and I’m certified as a single engine, private pilot.I just retired from Federal Government service with over 30 years combined Military/Civil service. I spent 13 years on active duty with the US Marine Corps. I have a wife and son (32 years old and on active duty with the US Air Force). I live in Fallbrook, CA. which is about 50 miles north of  San Diego. This location allows for 12 months of continuous training and playing outdoors.

I’m looking forward to my expand role and responsibilities as a member of the PQ staff.
