Colleen, a native Washingtonian, spent her early years in a rural town near the U.S.-Canadian border. Her love for the outdoors was nurtured by family backcountry trips, skiing and equestrian competitions. She attended school at Colorado Mountain College, where she obtained an Associates in Ski and Snowboard Business seriously. Not yet ready to leave the Rockies, she continued her education at Western State College of Colorado, graduating with a Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor Recreation.

Colleen caught the multi-sport “bug” in 2005. She was conned into her first adventure race, and somewhere between hour 16 and 21, she became passionately addicted. Since knocking off her first multisport event, Colleen has added several other sports to her repertoire including mountain biking, kayaking, distance cycling, triathlon, cross-country skiing and Bikram yoga. She is currently resides in Palm Springs, CA, but considers herself a gypsy of the West.
